What data we collect

We collect the following personal data: email addresses submitted via our newsletter sign-up form; name and email submitted via our contact form; and anonymous analytics data (pages visited, device type, approximate country) via Google Analytics. We do not collect payment information, and we do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

How we use your data

Email addresses collected via newsletter sign-up are used solely to send you editorial updates from Destination Thailand. Contact form data is used only to respond to your enquiry. Analytics data is used in aggregate to understand how readers use the site and to improve content.

We use essential cookies for site functionality and, with your consent, analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how readers use the site. You can accept or decline analytics cookies via the banner shown on your first visit. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Destination Thailand complies with the Thailand Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA). If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data; the right to restrict or object to processing; and the right to data portability. Data retention

Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Contact form data is retained for up to 12 months. Analytics data is retained for 14 months (Google Analytics default).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
