Fair price vs tourist price

A street plate is ฿50–80. You’ll be quoted ฿150. Both numbers are in the book, for everything from a tuk-tuk to a riverside suite.

Verdicts, not lists

Where to stay, ranked. Which beach is for you. Which season to skip. We say no to more things than we say yes to.

Nobody paid to be in it

No sponsored hotels, no placed restaurants. Some booking links earn us a small commission at no cost to you, and we say so.

Updated every year, free

Prices, visas and closures change. Buyers get the 2027 refresh at no charge. If a fact is wrong, tell us and the next update fixes it.

Questions, answered

What do I get?

A PDF designed for phones and tablets (6×9 in, bookmarked chapters, clickable links) and an EPUB for Kindle, Apple Books and Kobo. Both arrive by email within a minute of paying, and you can re-download them any time.

How long are the guides?

Roughly 70–90 pages and 14,000–16,000 words each: a short version up front, the day-by-day, where to stay, where to eat, a full chapter of honest warnings, phrase cards, a cost table and an FAQ.

How is this different from the free articles on the site?

The site is the research. The guide is the plan: one coherent narrative, timed days, every price in one place, and the warnings chapter in full. It also works offline on a beach with no signal.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. If the guide isn’t what you expected, email hello@destinationthailand.io within 14 days and we’ll refund it, no form to fill.

How do the free updates work?

Every guide is dated (Edition 2026.1). When we publish the 2027 edition you’ll get an email with the new files. Nothing to do, nothing to pay.

Which province is next?

Krabi, Kanchanaburi and Chiang Rai are the shortlist. Tell us on Instagram which one you want first.

Payments are handled by Payhip (cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay). Prices in US dollars; your bank converts. Files are licensed for personal use. Destination Thailand is published by MACK Media Co., Ltd., Bangkok.
